| Revenge of the mummy is one of the most technological advanced rollercoaster type rides of it's kind. Actually... there isn't anything of its kind. This ride combines dark ride with coaster and uses magnetic lims (Linear Induction Motors) and magnetic slims to propel the 16 person vehicles through the show scenes and coaster section. During the trip through the mummy's domain, guests have close encounters with fire, water, animatronics, screen projection, bugs and of course.. gravity! Just when you think the ride is over, there's another surprise waiting for you around the next turn. Maybe I'll have some pictures posted here later if I don't drop my camera. Check back! |

Time For Useless Information! To the left is a sample of the type of bug you will encounter during your experience. The Scarab Beetle. This is a photo of an actual Scarab Beetle found in South America and Egypt. The Scarab Beetle (or Dung Beetle) was believed by ancient Egyptians to represent the sun god, who rolled the sun across the sky and buried it each night. The Scarab was also a sacred fashion statement of the time being placed on unique stones to wear as jewelry. So ride Revenge of The Mummy and get to know the Dung Beetle! |
